faces is what its all about and this photo says it all. For most of the
Gold Coast fishing charters the snapper have fired up through the colder
months. There have been some large ones caught but most are pan size quantity
for a good feed. The days of filling big ice boxes is gone and the emphasis
is on an enjoyable experience out on the water. This
year there have been a number of weighty cobia caught and the teraglin catch
has been notable for its quality. With many customers just here for a short
visit and living in hotels, we always check that the fish that we catch are
going to be used. Gold Coast fishing charters are noted for the variety of fish. There is nothing better than fresh fish and some of the tastiest are ones that are not so well known, trevally, sweep, tuskfish, teraglin are always a tasty feed. Grill them whole with butter and salt and pepper and pick the sweet meat from the bones! As I
write the whales are still heading north but the early arrivals are heading south
with their calves. Watch out for the killer whales! Meanwhile, we are hoping for some settled weather and lots of bottom
fishing action.
